The Most Popular Guy at School Accidentally Became My Knight in Shining Armor

A Korean forum post from 2016 tells the story of a girl who has a crush on the most popular boy in school — but he's in class 5 and she's in class 1, so they've never spoken. She's too intimidated to approach him and low-key doesn't even want to be friends because the pressure is too real.

One day she's walking down the stairs when a guy she IS close with suddenly pushes her (playfully?), and she slips and sprains her ankle. Her friend takes her to the school nurse, but the nurse is out, so she's crouched in pain in front of the nurse's office. Her friend ditches her to go look for a 'cheaper alternative' nurse(??), leaving her alone — right next to the men's bathroom.

Out walks Mr. Popular himself. He sees her crumpled on the floor and says, for the first time ever, 'Hey, why are you like this?' She goes 'Uh... I hurt my leg...' He asks 'Who hurt you — someone else or did you fall yourself?' She was about to say she fell alone, but then throws the guy who pushed her under the bus immediately. Mr. Popular, unbothered, picks her up, carries her to the nurse's office, sits with her, covers her with his jacket, AND keeps her company until the nurse arrives — smiling and chatting the whole time.
