A childhood umbrella moment that still lives rent-free in someone's head

Posted in 2015, this person shares a memory from 4th grade: it was lightly raining, so they were walking home using an indoor slipper bag on their head (classic broke kid energy). Out of nowhere, a boy they weren't even close with silently came up and shared his umbrella with them.

Panicking from the embarrassment of other kids watching, they said nothing and just bolted home at full speed. The next day, the boy was nowhere to be found — turns out he had moved away. Then his friend came up and dropped the bomb: 'He moved... and he liked you.'
