My foreign boyfriend randomly yells Korean food names as terms of endearment

She explains: he'll be quietly minding his own business, then suddenly out of nowhere yell '볶음밥!!!!' (Fried rice!!!!) and come in for a hug — she has no idea why he screams that before cuddling (???).

Turns out, he learned that Korean guys use food names as cute nicknames for girls — like 순이, 보라돌이, 순돌이, 밥순이, 떡순이, etc. So he asked her what a Korean nickname for HIM would be... and she told him '맷돌이' (millstone boy). His name starts with 'Matt' so he fully bought it and now goes around calling himself 맷돌이. She ends with 'lmaooo his name starts with Matt so he believed millstone-boy was his nickname... f***'
