Boss covered for me while I was on vacation… then hit me right in the heart

OP just got back from a long vacation and found an email waiting from their boss the moment they returned. The boss had been handling all of OP's work while they were gone. OP starts casually reading through the email — work handoff notes, nothing special — and then gets absolutely blindsided by the last line.

The email ends with: 'Missed you so much.'
