He gave her warm milk every day for years — the ending will melt you

A Korean forum post from 2018 that racked up 111 upvotes. The poster writes:

'When I entered high school, my first crush was a jock. He'd work out during lunch instead of eating. One day after school he came up and handed me a warm carton of milk. I was actually scared of him — he was huge and intimidating. So I just took it without a word and downed it in two gulps lol. This happened literally every single day until the end of 1st year. I became known around school as 'the milk girl.' In 2nd year we got different homerooms and I thought the milk era was over — but he'd still come find me to give it lol. Then his dad got transferred abroad and he had to leave school. On his last day he left me a note. The note said: 'Milk warms you up.' I was like ??? dude I'm not even COLD??? and just moved on.

Years pass. I'm in college, doing a Europe backpacking trip, and I run into him. The moment I actually look at him I instantly KNEW lol. We ate together at a restaurant and he shows up with — you guessed it — another warm carton of milk. So I asked him, 'why do you keep giving me milk?' He said: 'You said you had insomnia.' Turns out back in high school when we first introduced ourselves, I wrote that I had insomnia — and warm milk helps with that. He'd remembered it this whole time.

Then he goes: 'You doing okay these days? I was worried you'd do something embarrassing abroad lol.'

I literally started crying on the spot. Oh and by the way — we're getting married this April.'
