Classmate called my salary fake in the group chat so I nuked him with receipts

Okay buckle up because I genuinely filmed a whole ass comedy special in our group chat yesterday.

So there's this guy from high school, let's call him Chulsoo. Dude has always had this weird competitive thing with me. Always subtly trying to knock me down a peg whenever we talked.

We got like 10+ old classmates in a kakao group chat and salary talk came up. I mentioned kinda casually that I switched jobs last year and it worked out, I'm pulling 100M+ won pre-tax now (roughly $75K+ USD, which is a BIG deal in Korea btw).

And this mf Chulsoo immediately goes "bro you're crossing a line. Your company isn't even a 대기업¹, how are you making that?? Lying has limits if you want people to believe you."

Like. Openly calling me a liar. In front of everyone.

I was like "??? it's real why are you like this" and he doubled DOWN. "Yeah there's people online who see salary charts and convince themselves that's their salary, that's literally you right now. If you wanna flex in front of friends at least be realistic LMAO"

The chat went DEAD silent. Everyone shifting into "ehhh is he actually lying tho" mode. Chulsoo's getting hyped, tagging my name like "CAN'T PROVE IT? THEN IT'S FAKE" trying to farm engagement off dragging me.

I just stared at my phone like. Okay.

Logged straight into Hometax (the national tax office site). Pulled up last year's official withholding tax receipt. Blurred my name and company. Dropped it in the chat.

One. Second. Of silence.

The number is CLEARLY in the hundred-millions. Chulsoo read it and said absolutely nothing. Straight up left me on read in a GROUP CHAT.

I hit him with "Chulsoo-ya, still think I'm lying? Want me to pull my corporate welfare card statements too? You really see someone doing better than you and just NEED it to be fake huh?"

But here's where it gets spicy. I still had kakao screenshots from a while back where this SAME guy DM'd me begging "bro I need money bad, can you lend me 50K won?? I'll pay you back next month I swear." (That's like $37 btw.) I didn't lend it, so he ghosted me. Left ME on read. Never spoke to me again until this group chat.

So I posted THAT too.

"Oh and Chulsoo. When I think about the fact that you were begging friends for 50 bucks, yeah maybe my salary does feel unrealistic to you. But maybe instead of dragging people down, work on yourself? Where'd all that energy go from 2 minutes ago when you were rallying the chat against me?"

I could LITERALLY picture his face going tomato red.

5 minutes later. No reply. Just the little "Chulsoo has left the chat" notification.

The catharsis was UNREAL.

Suddenly everyone else flipped the script. "Bro that's insane" "when are you buying us drinks" the AUDACITY. I just said "I'm busy, later" and dipped out of the chat myself.

People eaten up by insecurity who dismiss other people's grind as lies? They literally only learn through public humiliation. If you got a hater like this in your circle don't hold back. One receipt and they self-destruct on their own.
