end of 7th grade i was getting badly bullied, and on top of that my dad had a stroke and my mom was so wrecked she could barely speak. so i had nowhere to turn. the friends who stuck around, the ones i actually trusted, i finally opened up to them hoping for even a little comfort. and they half-listened. you could just TELL they didn't want to hear it. that hurt.
