My aunt jumped out of a moving car at 60mph and walked away fine

okay so this is a REAL story about my aunt who's still alive and living normally. not some friend of a friend. this actually happened to her like 10+ years ago.

back then i was living in this tiny rural town called Seowon-myeon in Hoengseong-gun. i'd visit my grandma in Wonju all the time since she lived there. my aunt was staying with grandma at the time (married and moved out now). she was pretty, had a great personality, super popular. like genuinely out all the time doing stuff with friends. girl did NOT sit at home.

so one day i go to grandma's house and walk into my aunt's room and... she's WRAPPED IN BANDAGES from head to toe. just groaning. i'm a kid so i'm freaking out.

"aunt!! are you okay?? does it hurt??"

"ugh... i can manage..."

"but what happened?!"

she just turned away and wouldn't say anything. grandma and grandpa didn't really know either when i asked. so whatever, i just moved on.

fast forward a few years (we'd moved to Wonju by then). i'm eating dinner with my aunt at grandma's and she brings it up out of nowhere.

"hey. remember when i got hurt back then?"

hooooly shit. it all came flooding back. that was SUCH a vivid memory.

"oh yeah! you were really messed up!"

"yeah. so i never told you why. let me tell you now."

and here's what she said.

so a few weeks before i saw her all bandaged up, my aunt woke up one morning feeling... OFF. like genuinely weird. inexplicably bad mood. can't even describe it.

she went downstairs to eat breakfast and my grandma (her mom) looked at her with this SERIOUS face and told her "don't go anywhere today." my aunt was in that rebellious teenager phase so she was like "uh... why?"

grandma told her she'd had a nightmare. a REALLY bad nightmare. and it somehow involved my aunt.

then grandma gets a phone call from HER mom (my great-grandma) and she also had a bad nightmare. about my aunt.

my aunt heard all this and was like "okay fine, i'll just stay home today."

but then around 7pm, her friends literally show up at the door wanting to go drink. my aunt says no because she's tired from staying in all day. her friends keep pushing though. they're like "okay fine don't drink, just come get some fresh air with us."

my aunt's SO annoyed from being cooped up that she's like "whatever, what could happen" and goes with them.

they buy beer at a convenience store and just drive around the Wonju outskirts with no real destination. then they see a reservoir and decide to stop there.

my aunt's legs hurt so she sits down on a rock away from the group while they drink by the water. behind her there's like a stone marker or something but she's not really paying attention to it. she's just staring at the water.

then... she starts feeling WEIRD. like she can't stop thinking about that stone behind her. there's this sticky, uncomfortable feeling. like someone's staring at her from behind. it's so bad she can't even stay there.

she rushes her friends back to the car and they drive off.

right after they leave, she closes her eyes for a second and...

SHE HEARS THIS CRAZY LOUD NOISE.

she opens her eyes and she's in the hospital. COVERED in blood. being rushed somewhere. her friends are all around her looking absolutely HORRIFIED. the girls are crying.

then she blacks out.

when she wakes up later in recovery, her friends tell her what happened.

so they're driving on this empty countryside road, and my aunt suddenly says to the friend sitting next to her:

"um... hey..."

"yeah?"

"should i... jump out of this car?"

her friend thinks she's joking.

"yeah sure. go ahead, jump."

AND MY AUNT LITERALLY OPENS THE DOOR AND JUMPS OUT OF A CAR GOING 60+ MPH.

the craziest part? her friends said my aunt didn't remember saying ANYTHING. like zero memory of it. she never said a word the entire drive.

so obviously they panic and rush her to the hospital. but somehow... SOMEHOW... she didn't break a single bone. just road rash and bruises. like it's actually impossible.

AFTER THIS, my aunt's friends asked around about that reservoir and come to find out?? people die there CONSTANTLY. like every year. drownings, suicides, car accidents. doesn't matter how. just keeps happening.

so yeah. my aunt got possessed by a haunted reservoir, tried to commit suicide by jumping out of a moving car, survived with basically zero injuries, and lived to tell about it. i'm still not sure if she actually jumped or got pushed or WHAT but that's her story.
