okay so this is a creepypasta about Dr. Alan Cade, a marine biologist who goes to the Sargasso Sea. you know, that dead zone in the middle of the Atlantic where ships get trapped because there's literally no current and brown seaweed everywhere. sailors call it cursed. makes sense.
anyway Alan's there on this tiny solo research ship called the Odyssey to study some unknown plankton that only exists in this isolated ecosystem. he's got all the fancy equipment. his only problem? it's SILENT. like uncomfortably silent. so to break it up he keeps lowering this underwater microphone to listen to what's down there. mostly just whale songs and shrimp clicks. normal stuff.
then on day 12 at night, he catches this... SOUND. at first he thinks it's a ship engine warped through water but nope. it gets clearer and it's multiple voices singing in this weird harmony. like a pipe organ from a 300-year-old cathedral but underwater. it's sad AND creepy AND majestic all at once. he radios back to base like "yo what is this?" and they're like "it's not biological, it's mechanical but the pattern's all wrong, just ignore it."
but he CAN'T ignore it. the song has this twisted addictive quality. every night he's putting on headphones like he's hypnotized, listening to this thing slowly destroy his mind.
days later he manages to separate another sound buried under the song. way deeper. slow and HEAVY. chains dragging. and this metal door screeching open. like eeeeeeeeeek-
then it happens. pitch black night, no moon. the chain sound he was hearing through the mic suddenly STOPS. but then he hears the EXACT SAME SOUND coming from UNDER his boat.
thump. thump. thump.
something massive and heavy is knocking on the hull. from the OUTSIDE.
Alan SCREAMS and runs to the control room, blasts the underwater searchlight. nothing. just brown seaweed everywhere. sonar shows nothing. but the knocking DOESN'T STOP. now it's scratching the side of the boat. like some giant fingernail raking metal. the whole cabin's screaming.
he tries sending an SOS but the radio's just static. EVERYTHING dies. every device. complete blackout. he's completely alone. the scratching stops. then he hears something wet and heavy dragging onto the deck.
squelch. squelch.
he's frozen staring out at the dark deck through the reinforced glass. he can't see ANYTHING but he KNOWS it's there. it walks across the deck. stops in front of the control room door.
and knocks.
thump. thump. thump.
he's covering his mouth, crying, when the underwater microphone speaker behind him SUDDENLY CRACKLES TO LIFE.
this time it's not a chorus.
just ONE voice. clear. childlike. innocent.
and it's not singing. it's SPEAKING. like it read his mind and answered.
"why... do you only listen?"
three weeks later the US Coast Guard finds the Odyssey floating in the center of the Sargasso Sea. ship's PERFECT. engines work. comms work. everything's fine.
but Alan's gone. vanished. all his research and stuff is there but HE isn't.
his last log entry is scrawled in handwriting so bad it looks like he wrote it during an earthquake.
"...it's too loud. the singing won't stop. it's not coming from the hull. it's in my HEAD. they called me..."
when the rescue team checked the control room one last time, they found the underwater microphone recorder was STILL RUNNING. one of them got curious and hit play.
it was Alan's voice.
right before he disappeared, he was singing along. perfectly in harmony. with that bizarre, majestic, beautiful song from the depths.

I was spying on my neighborhood at 2am and saw something that made me never do it again
So I had this weird hobby. Every night around 2am I'd climb up to my apartment roof with binoculars and just... observe. Watch the streets when they're dead quiet. There's something oddly satisfying about it, you know? T

My friend's girlfriend saw a dead girl in a dream. Three days later she actually died.
This is a horror story (κ΄΄λ΄) that happened when I was 20. Back then I was living that fresh adult energy, just vibing and partying constantly. I had this best friend Sung-jin (fake name) since middle school. Super tight.
The boy who walks where no one can go
This is a story my friend experienced. So our school was built like 20 years ago. There's a mountain literally right behind it, a temple next to that (though some people call it a mudang's house), and this kinda rundown
I burned a monk's blessing and saw something I can't unsee
So this happened when I was like, barely walking. My dad had nothing when he got married, no real skills, so he just picked up driving taxi. Not great money but at least he had work, you know?
