Caught my neighbor stealing my packages, called cops, she got DESTROYED
Okay so I live in this villa apartment and I just encountered the most unhinged neighbor villain ever. I'm a cat parent too so I order bulk cat food and litter online all the time. But like a month ago my packages start disappearing from the hallway. One, two, three times. At first I thought it was a shipping error but nah. This was theft.
Our floor only has two units. The neighbor lady is one of those self-proclaimed "cat moms" who feeds stray cats around the neighborhood. I always smelled cat food in the hallway and got weird vibes but I never thought she'd actually steal MY packages.
So I set up a hidden doorbell cam and waited exactly one day.
And OF COURSE that afternoon a cat food box arrives and her door just... opens. She literally crawls out and DRAGS my package into her apartment. It's all on video. My hands were shaking. I pound on her door and scream at her to come out.
She comes out and DENIES EVERYTHING. So I'm like "it's literally on my home cam, give it back NOW." She finally comes back with my torn-open food bag and starts talking absolute nonsense: "Why are you being so stingy, I was going to give this to the street cats, it's a GOOD DEED, why don't you care that they're starving???"
I'm literally speechless. She's stealing my stuff and acting like I'M the heartless one. Like bestie you can't just take people's packages and call it charity. So I pull out my phone and call the cops. She LOSES IT. "Why would you call police over a few won, just give me some money and we're done."
Cops show up and suddenly her whole vibe changes. Now she's like "oh I thought it was MY package, I made a mistake." But I show the officers all the doorbell footage and the ripped boxes. The cop literally said this is habitual theft. Not a one-time thing.
Turns out this woman had been stealing packages from OTHER floors too. All for her little cat charity project. But legally? That's just petty theft. I straight up told her I'm NOT settling. Civil suit too. Damages for everything she stole plus emotional distress.
She got booked for theft and now has a criminal record with a fine. Even the landlady got involved. Apparently there'd been complaints about the cat feeding situation already so this was the last straw. Landlady's not renewing her lease.
Here's the thing: stealing people's stuff to feel morally superior isn't charity. It's crime. These "cat mom" types hiding behind this noble persona while screwing everyone else? They NEED consequences. If your packages start vanishing, don't just sit there. Get a doorbell cam. The culprit is closer than you think.
