witnessed the most unhinged bus couple moment of my life

okay so I was NOT expecting to see this in real life. like I've seen clips of this circulating online but actually witnessing it??? I'm still processing.

So I get on the bus to head home and there's literally nobody on it, so I sit all the way in the back trying to catch some sleep. Next stop, two high schoolers get on and they're FULL-ON making out which okay whatever. But then they start talking and it gets so awkward so fast.

A: "If I don't get into the same college as you, we're breaking up right?"

B: "How could we break up?"

A: "We'd just... naturally drift apart."

B: "Is that what you want?"

A: *doesn't answer, just stares out the window*

B: "Hey, answer me. You don't want to see me anymore?"

AND THEN. This is the part that destroyed me. When B asks that, they literally GRAB A's face and turn it toward them. And when A makes eye contact, A starts mumbling something (I couldn't hear what) and B just goes >>snort<< and holds their hand.

I'm not gonna lie. I felt genuine human connection on a city bus at 2pm on a Tuesday. These kids are UNHINGED but also maybe onto something. Humanity restored.
