My stoic high school crush just proposed and we're getting married this December

sorry for posting in the teen section lol but I need to get this out. So senior year of high school I noticed this guy in my class. Tall, quiet, barely talked at all. I was absolutely gone for him.

Sometime around summer turning into fall we got assigned as desk partners. He was eating candy and I was like "that looks good" so he literally just opened one up and put it in my mouth. LMAO no expression on his face at all. Then after I thanked him and we went back to studying he was like "was it good?" and smiled. Like actually smiled.

After that he just... showed up everywhere. If I went to the nurse's office he'd come in and spray me with pain relief asking if I was okay. If I stayed late to help a teacher in music class he'd just be sitting on the stairs waiting. When I asked "are you waiting for me?" he'd be like "nah" and walk away. Somehow I knew he was lying.

Then the big one happened. The girls in class were lowkey leaving me out and it was KILLING me. Even the homeroom teacher didn't help. So I hung out with people from other classes for like a week, but one day I couldn't take it anymore and was just sitting in the classroom when I started crying. I was trying to hide it by messing with some fruit when he comes back from lunch, crouches in front of me, and goes "why are you crying?" I said I wasn't and looked down. He literally put his hand on my head and tapped it with his finger like "you're lying" and I just broke. Started full on crying. He stood up and hugged me and I was freaking out asking who he is and everything but then I went home early that day.

After that weekend the girls suddenly stopped being weird to me. Turns out he went OFF on all the guys in his class about how they were treating me. That's kind of when it clicked that he liked me I guess? But he was SO BAD at expressing it. Still is honestly. Just stands there all stoic and awkward.

A couple weeks pass and I'm genuinely just in love with him at this point. After ballet one day he picked me up and I was heading to the back entrance of my house to get in, turned around to say bye and he grabbed my hand, smiled, and said "do you like me?" I was smiling too and said "yeah obviously?" and he was like "no because I've liked you since senior year one. I'm bad at showing it and I'm clumsy with this stuff but let me take care of you. let's date."

Feels like that just happened but we're actually getting MARRIED this December lol. I'm so happy.
